It seems there's never enough time in a day to do everything you want to do. Maybe I just can't manage my time effectively but sometimes I think you just have to enjoy life... maybe I enjoy it too much.
Last week I played in a teacher/charity volleyball tournament. It was a great event that supported DOXA Journeys which were sending youth to Dominican Republic to help build infrastructure in less fortunate areas in the country. It took place at Wobrun CI Highschool in Scarborough which just so happened to be the same highschool that I attended growing up. It turns out there were a lot of familiar faces at the tournament and it was great to see them all... and there we a few new faces that I didn't mind meeting. lol. We ended up losing in the semi finals to a bunch of young guys who were all around 21 yrs old. It was a lot of fun and anytime you can help a good cause it's worth all the pain I've felt all weekend since then.
On a more somber note I recently found out that another friend of mine is currently in the hospital. I went and saw her Saturday and it's tough to see someone who normally is so strong and so happy in her current state. But I know her well and I know she'll get thru it bouncing back stronger then ever.
Sat night was another night at Chako (the korean BBQ) to celebrate another birthday. On the weekends they have this "special beef". Basically it's like a season ribeye which is actually really good. I think we must have ordered 6 or 7 of them. They're a little thicker then the normally thinly sliced beef, pork, and other meats (lamb, ox tongue, chicken). All in all a great dinner but man did all my clothes smell like BBQ after that.
I also got a chance to use the new PS3 move. It's actually quite fun. I've been thinking about getting a PS3 for some time now but to be honest I don't really play games much anymore. Plus the games and accessories seem so expensive. We'll see maybe one day I'll get one.
|It looks like it's going to be another busy week but hopefully I'll be able to write a little more frequently.

Welcome
So I've decided to finally create my blog. At first I was going to do a blog specifically on the food choices in the GTA, hence the name "Chewy's Choices". But then I thought it could be one of the focuses but I'd like to include some other things too. Maybe some personal opinions and the odd picture or two.
I think everyday we have to make many choices. We decide every day what we're going to wear, what we're going to eat, and more importantly what we're going to do. Some choices we make unconsciously while others we think long and hard. We may not always make the right choices but I think in the end we try to make the best choices for us, our family and our friends.
Hopefully I can share with you some of the choices I make (or have made) and maybe even my thoughts. Feel free to make comments or suggestions as I'm always happy to hear from my friends.
